Check ‘n Go started out in the Cincinnati area back in 1994. Their first store was actually across the river in Covington, Kentucky. Since then they’ve grown to service many states as well provide loans online.
Looking back through the Internet Archive, the website was up in 1998 but it doesn’t look like anything was really there until 2002.
In 2009 we see the first instance of an online application. The process wasn’t nearly as streamlined as it is today but is was a start. 2008 to 2009 seems to be the common switching point where lenders went from a static, informational website to one where users could apply.
The company has somewhere around 1,200 stores, though we couldn’t find any kind of exact numbers.
