ID Watchdog is an identity protection service based in Denver Colorado. The company started in 2005, making them the youngest of the id protection companies we’ve reviewed. ID Watchdog Review
ID Watchdog doesn’t have the same name recognition as a company like LifeLock but they provide many of the same identity protection services. Their prices are a bit less than most of their competitors with plans in the $15 to $20 range. They have an A+ with the Better Business Bureau but so far there are no reviews left on the website.
Features
ID Watchdog offers identity monitoring that watches housing and rental records, loan (including payday) and other credit applications, and court and criminal records. They will also monitor Internet black markets that deal in trading your personal info.
If suspicious activity is discovered you’ll get an alert by email or text and they will help you fix the situation. Like the other identity theft protection companies, they have a $1 million insurance policy to help you recover lost money if you are a victim.
They also offer access to your credit reports and scores with their platinum plan.
Plans & Pricing
Plus – $14.95/month – This plan features all the services above but no access to your credit reports and scores. We didn’t see any basic plan so we guess plus really means basic or standard.
Platinum – $19.95/month – This plan features all of the services above but you can also get your credit reports and scores. We couldn’t find how often you’re able to pull the reports and scores though so we can’t really say if that is a good deal or not.
