We struggled a bit with where to list NetCredit. Are they at the bottom of the “good” lenders or the top of the “bad” lenders? In the end, we went with the second choice and here’s why.
NetCredit seems to start with APRs where the higher-tier lenders cap out, generally 34%-36%. In some states, NetCredit only has loans in this range. But in many other states, they go as high as 155%, with an average APR of 95%. At these percentages, you’ll be paying back your loan several times over.
NetCredit also claims to report payments to two of the three major credit bureaus. On time payments could potentially improve your credit score.
In the end, you may be able to get a decent deal (decent only in comparison to some of the super expensive installment lenders) at NetCredit. But don’t expect anything near a prime loan.
